Dec 30th Ski Report

On Wednesday, Dec. 30th a very light snow is falling in the Sawtooth Valley with  over-night snow accumulations amounting to about one half inch. The trails at Alturas lake are looking great with flat firm skate lanes and classic tracks on South Loop, Over the Hill and the Trail to the Lake. The first half of Sheep Thrills was packed and graded yesterday and should have firmed enough for touring and skating by now. Wapiti, the second half of Sheep Thrills and North Cabin Creek trails will need more snow and grooming work before they are skiable. At 11 a.m. the temperature was 22 degrees above zero.
