December 26th Ski Report

Saturday, the 26th of December looks to be a beautiful day in the Sawtooth Valley. At the Alturas Lake ski area our initial trail offerings have firmed up nicely with cold night temperatures. At 8 a.m. the temperature was around minus 9 degrees at the lake but afternoon skiing is a warmer treat.  The trail to the lake has been pushed through to within 100 yards of its goal and today we hope to finish the job by cutting out the last fallen trees blocking the grooming equipment from reaching that glorious destination; “Day use area A”. Over the Hill and South loop are also groomed for skating. Directional signs and classic tracks arriving soon!
