1-15-2010 Alturas Lake

On Friday, January the 15th, 2010, the longest annular solar eclipse of the millennium signals excellent skiing opportunities at the Alturas Lake Ski Area. With the sun, earth and moon aligned , kick and glide unfold in perfect balance for both the skate and classic ski enthusiast. The Trail to the Lake, Over the Hill, South Loop, Sheep Thrills and Wapiti are all scheduled to receive grooming attention today, so they should be in great shape for the weekend.  On Friday, at 11 a.m. the temperature was 28 degrees and the mood sublime.
