January 1st Ski Report

On the first day of the new year a steady snow is falling on the Sawtooth Valley. Accumulations of 4 to 8 inches at Alturas Lake were blown about violently at times during the night so expect significant drifting along areas of the ski trails exposed to wind. The trails will be groomed once again today, Friday, starting at about 11 a.m. but with continuing snow forecast through Saturday, expect variable shifting snowy conditions through the weekend.
