January 26, 2010 Highway Report
Good Morning All! It’s a dark, cloudy morning here in Stanley with temps around 25. Highway 21 is CLOSED between Grandjean and Banner Summit due to avalanche danger. No word yet as to how long the closure may last, but I will be sure to update this post as soon as I hear otherwise. If traveling to Stanley from the Magic Valley, taking the route through Hailey and Ketchum on Highway 75 will be necessary to reach Stanley. Highwa y 75 conditions from Ketchum will most likely have packed snow on the road with some wind, so drive with caution. Highway 75 to Challis looks clear. Happy and safe travels!
