January 26, 2010 Snowmobile Report
Happy Tuesday morning! It’s dark and cloudy here in Stanley with temps around 25. Hopefully these clouds will bring us some much needed snow in the next couple of days. Today I hear we have a 100% chance of snow with that percentage tapering off toward the middle and end of the week. We have only received about an inch here in town, but there is around a foot of new snow out west, so the riding should be great with all the trails having been groomed last week, finishing up with Kelly Creek on Saturday. Smiley Creek to Stanley trail was groomed yesterday. Even with our lack of snow, the trail riding is fabulous, so come on up and see us! Don’t forget about the 1st Annual Winter Festival happening here in Stanley on February 20th and 21st. Get your relay team together (snowmobile, ski, snowshoe), run in our “drag race,” come play some hockey, or belly up to the bars for warm drinks and live music. Should be a great time for all ages! As we speak the snow begins to fall, so once again keep those fingers crossed for some accumulation. Happy trails!
