Tuesday, the second day of the second month is a black and white but mostly grey day in the Sawtooth Valley. Compared to yesterday’s electric blue sky and a vibrant beaming sun, shining colors everywhere, the mood is more somber today. At Alturas lake, where yesterday the trails that were beaten down and flattened by a 100,000 ecstatic kicks and glldes, today, a quieter, more reflective mood is predicted. At 9:30 a.m. the temperature was about 18 degrees. Trails will be regroomed today for your pleasure and are expected to be quite nice.
