ALTURAS SKI TRAILS
Saturday morning, February 20th, at 9 a.m. the temperature at the Alturas lake ski trails was around 8 degrees. 1 or 2 inches of new snow fell overnight in the upper Sawtooth Valley. This was followed by a skiff of the finest fairy dust which appeared out of thin air and fell to the ground shortly after dawn. Grooming took place Friday evening and is scheduled through the weekend to ensure fine trail conditions for all.
