SUPER COLD SKI CONDITIONS

December 31st, 2010

Park Creek reports…. -31 deg this morning at 8am. Brrrr.  Yesterday I was able to pack all the trails as well as set track on lupine, shooting star, and camas for both skate and classic. I probably will not be grooming today, due to extra cold weather- not even sure if the sled will start.  I may try later on in the afternoon.

Alturas reports… -25 this morning at 8 a.m. Yesterday, the Trail to the Lake, Over the Hill, Wapiti and South loop were groomed but generally frigid temperatures made skiing look rather brutal, with a steady cold wind was blowing fine snow particles across exposed sections of trail. Hope to groom again on Saturday.
