SNOW ON ROLLED TRAILS
All the ski trails at Park Creek and Alturas Lake were rolled on Wednesday. No classic tracks were set. We have been more or less just trying to keep up by beating down the 4-8 inches of new and blown snow that has been deposited on the trails each day for the past week. Of course it is snowing once again… so our groomers would like to remind you that this COMBINATION OF SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW WILL MAKE SNOW CONTROL EFFORTS DIFFICULT DUE TO HEAVY DRIFTING OF SNOW. However it is still our hope to have the trails back under control for the weekend with rows of straight packed corduroy and geometrically precise classic grooves instead of these mounds of soft shifting drifting snow that have been our recent nemesis.
