The Sawtooth Hotel will be sponsoring Project Scientist, Dr. Kim Heinemeyer, who will be presenting information on a unique research effort that relies upon collaboration with winter recreationists and local communities. Come listen, discuss, and understand how we co-exist with this little-known animal.

For more than 20 years, natural science illustrator, Karen Jacobsen, has worked with oceanographers to study and illustrate the unique ecology of life near deep sea vents. Come and listen to Karen’s underwater experiences and watch the slide show of her work at the library. A sample of Karen’s work will be on display and available for purchase.

The Stanley Community Library will discuss the second book in this year’s Idaho Commission for Libraries’ book discussion theme “Our Earth, Our Ethics”. Copies of Indian Creek Chronicles, by Pete Fromm are available at the library one month before the book discussion date.
