SKATE LANES GROOMED – HALF INCH NEW SNOW
One half inch of new snow fell on the ski trails at Alturas lake in the early morning hours of Tuesday, December 27th. On Monday, all of the skating lanes were groomed there after a busy Christmas weekend. North Cabin is open but in parts thin and overly brushy so be careful on those downhill curves. All the other skating lanes look great but are littered with a smattering of saplings, stumps, sage and stones so look out! Classic tracks are old and presemtly rated about halfway decent. But more snow is in the forcast and should it actually fall, woud make possible some fresh set classic grooviness.
