Ski trails good but cold

At the end of the day on Sunday, December 30th, a cold moon rose over the Sawtooth Valley and by 10 p.m. the temperature had already sunk to 7 degrees below zero, portending a cold last day of the year. On Sunday, all of the skate lanes and some of the fuzzy, but still firm classic tracks were groomed again at the Alturas Lake Ski area. An enthusiastic but cold assembly of skiers reported a good time was had by all.
