Ski Trails set for weekend
Thursday was a beautiful, sunny, blue sky day at Park Creek, 7 miles west of Stanley, with a high temp. of 17 farenheit, if you can call that high. All trails were groomed with fresh skate and classic track. Watch out for the icy spots on camas trail, as they are covered with a thin skim of new snow.
It also never got warm at the Alturas Lake ski area on Thursday. All trails were groomed except for one stretch of the Trail to the Lake from the North Cabin creek junction on to the lake. That last section will be groomed on Friday. Achtung Baby!!! Watch for ice on North Cabin creek trail.
Looks like excellent trail conditions should continue through the weekend at both Sawtooth Ski areas if it just warms up a bit.
