Ski Trails sunny and cooler

On Saturday, 4 to 6 inches of warm new snow fell at the Alturas Lake ski area. An afternoon grooming temporarily cleaned the Trail to the Lake, Over the Hill, Wapiti and South Loop. However, blowing snow was reclaiming corduroy quickly At surrise on Sunday, the temperature was slightly below zero but a strong sun in a predominately blue sky, suggests that a good cross country ski afternoon is in store. Additional grooming will take place this morning so trails might be expected to be somewhat soft bul luxuriously gorgeous.

Grooming was also planned at Park Creek, weather permitting.
