WARM AFTERNOONS ON SKI TRAILS

On Sunday morning at Park Creek, almost everything got groomed before the temperature rose to prohibitive levels.  Lupine, camas, shooting star, sego and skyrocket are looking good, although soft (4” of new snow), with fresh skate and classic tracks.  Larkspur is half groomed with classic tracks, but as the temps shot up, the groomer was forced to abandon the ginzu and motor the snowmobile back to the trailhead, so actually part of skyrocket and all of larkspur are a bit ugly. He will try again early Monday, hopefully it will be colder out.

At Alturas Lake, the Trail to the Lake, Over the Hill, and South Loop were groomed on Sunday for skate and classic. North Cabin Creek was rolled for skate and touring. Wapiti and Sheep Thrills will be groomed on Monday.
