June 23 Fishing Report
Summer is here and the fishing is on! Rainbow trout have been stocked in: the Sawtooth Hatchery Kid’s Fishing Pond, Little Bayhorse Lake, Perkins Lake, Squaw Creek Pond, Alturas Lake, Bull Trout Lake,Capehorn Lake #2, Little Bull Trout Lake # 1 & 2, martin Lake and Stanley Lake. I expect the Upper Salmon River to be stocked shortly as the water levels go down.
Salmon season has officially started but the fish are not quite here yet. Fridays report is that they are about 60-80 miles downstream. We will re-post as soon as they arrive.
Summer hatches are on: Salmon flies are starting and the caddis are out in droves.
