Alturas Lake 1/19/10
On Tuesday, the 19th of January, the temperature in the Sawtooth Valley was around 25 degrees at 9 a.m. All of the trails at Alturas Lake were rolled yesterday, but since then, 2 to 4 inches of new snow and strong winds have drifted in many sections of trail and classic tracks will need to be reset. Grooming today will clean things up once again but expect slightly soft trails, a mix of snow and sun, and wintery landscapes of dramatic beauty.
