Frequently Asked Questions about our Banner Ad Program:

1) What is a banner ad?

A banner ad is a standard method of advertising on the internet.  It is a small attention-getting ad (usually a graphic or picture with a few words of text) that when clicked takes the viewer to your web site.  The dimensions of a banner ad on the Stanley Chamber web site are 468x60 pixels.   Examples of current banner ads can be viewed on any of the Service Directory pages of the Stanley Chamber web site.

2)  What is the cost of a banner ad on the Stanley Chamber web site?

Cost is $20 per month with a 3 month minimum.

3)  Who will create my banner ad?

You may create your own banner ad, or have one created for you by your web site developer.  The ad must be 468x60 pixels in size, and should be either web-optimized GIF or JPG format.  The total file size should not exceed 10K bytes.  Our web developer, Image Renaissance Digital Media, can also create your banner ad for you if you desire (for an additional charge).  Contact Image Renaissance directly if you would like them to create your banner ad.  web07@stanleycc.org

4)  Where will my banner ad appear?

Your banner ad will appear on the Service Directory pages of the Stanley Chamber web site.  Banner ads appear at the top of the page and when clicked will take the viewer to the web page of your choice.

5)  How often will my banner ad appear?

All of the banner ads that are currently active on the Chamber web site are presented in random order, and will be presented an equal number of times as all other active ads on the system.  The order of appearance is completely random, but over time all ads are presented an equal number of times.

6)  What happens when someone clicks on my banner ad?

They are taken to whatever web page you have specified when you set up your ad.  This can be the home page of your business web site or any other page you choose.  Advertisers sometimes choose to create a special page so that they can better track how much business is generated by their banner ad.

7)  Can I change my banner ad or link information once it is running?

Yes.  If you would like to change your banner, just send your new banner and link information to our webmaster at:  web07@stanleycc.org

8)  How can I monitor the performance of my banner ad?

When your ad is first created, you will be provided with a user name and password that will allow you to access the performance statistics for your ad.  You will be able to see the exact number of times your ad has appeared, and how many times it has been clicked.
